Graphics

From precisely scaled  plans and orthographic drawings working with livery design for motorsport and in architecture to total freehand creative sketching and illustrative art. Architects for example work to accurate tolerances therefore when derivative work is spawned from drawings or blueprints the work is reliably accurate. We use professional architects for the guarantees they must provide. The same I found can not always be said for automotive drawings or blueprints used by sign making agencies and other graphic companies online. For example- During a sponsorship livery design process I create my own scaled template design drawing templates which intuitively aid the creation of jaw dropping plot ready graphics accurately to scale using a similarly principled process as an architect. Devising effective commercial advertising that works not only for motorsport sponsors but that turn out in reality just like the design, so what you see in the design is exactly what you get in reality. Precise drawings give rise to accurate 3D modelling and the only method potentially more accurate is laser scanning. I provide a laser scanning service also.

Scaled graphic artwork laid out upon a 2D drawing key dimensions are reliable and work to a tolerance which is equal to that of the architectural world. Cars, buildings, products are often not flat or perfectly square with convenient ninety degree corners everywhere. Deviation away into the 3rd dimension is where CGI comes into play. To generate a realistic graphics design on any object that isn't flat is where 3D truly does immerse the viewer by helping you to see how a line crosses a panel in full 3D. I generate stills and can also provide Virtual Reality walk through models on request or as needs require. More and more today in the advertising and movie industries 3D (CGI) is employed. 3D can appear completely photo realistic and when intended can imitate perfectly a photograph or cinematic movie sequence.

Illustrations and artwork images in 2D or 'flat' formats serve other purposes. I learned in the late nineties that using 'texture' imagery upon 3D models opened a world of possibilities. Today my work uses 2D and 3D mediums for design and visualisation.
